- City hall
City Hall is one of the tallest buildings in California. A white, 32-storey, 138-meter-high skyscraper stands in the heart of the city, and today the City Hall of Los Angeles is located there. According to one version, the building was built on the model of the Mausoleum of Mausolus in Halicarnassus, which is more than 2000 years old. In Los Angeles, earthquakes are frequent, so rubber cushions are laid in the foundation of the skyscraper, which soften tremors and withstand vibrations up to 8 points.
