What to see
Life-size replica mannequins of celebrities are the main subject of the museum’s exposition. Traditionally called wax (as a tribute to the history of Madame Tussauds), in fact, they are made from modern plastic polymers, allowing to achieve one hundred percent similarity. The exposition is divided into several thematic blocks. In the section of Hollywood icons, you can stand next to Elvis Presley, Clark Gable, Marlene Dietrich, Vivien Leigh and other stars of the golden era of cinema. The Characters Section introduces Whitney Houston in her famous role in The Bodyguard, the touching ET alien and Hugh Jackman, The Wolverine from Men in Black. Television stars for the most part are not of particular interest to us, since American shows, with rare exceptions, were not broadcast on Russian television.
In the museum, you can sit down at a table with Audrey Hepburn at Breakfast at Tiffany’s and climb on a camel led by Peter O’Toole to feel like Lawrence of Arabia.
